The Importance of Bra Fitting

There are millions of women up and down the country that are wearing the wrong bra. While they may think their bra is the right size and fits them perfectly, if they had the chance to wear a bra that correctly fit and was the right shape for them, they'd be amazed at the difference in feel and comfort levels.

The problem is that many women feel too embarrassed to go and get their bras fitted by a professional. When put against how wearing an ill-fitting bra can permanently damage the breast tissueand cause the breast to become misshapen, however, in comparison, a little embarrassment doesn't seem like such a bad thing! The fact is that your bra is hugely important to the health of your breasts and, if you want them to stay looking good for as long as possible, you'll get them fitted.

Getting a bra fitting isn't nearly as scary as some people think. It's as simple as going into a changing room with a professional who will examine your current bra while you're wearing it. There is no nudity involved and the only contact comes from the staff member taking your measurements. There's no need to be shy about showing your bra to the helper - they have seen absolutely everything before and will never judge you, though they may judge your choice of bra if it’s a ridiculously wrong size!

Your fitter will then go and select a few styles of bra, knocking before they come back to ensure your privacy is kept. All you do is try them on and allow them to adjust your straps, explaining the best type of support to you and how to do it yourself. You decide which bra is the most comfortable without any pressure from the saleswoman. You may try on several in the same size but find that they all fit differently - that's fine. Don't worry about anything other than finding the size that fits you best. Once you've determined which one works for you, which your fitter will confirm, that's it! You'll probably notice immediately how different it feels to have a truly well-fitting bra.

While your new bra will give you an idea of your correct size, it's always wise to try on every bra you buy before you purchase it. If you're ever unsure, you can simply get a fitting again. It's the best way of making sure you get the right sized bra, which keeps both you and your breasts happy, every time.
