Difference between iPhone and iPad usage

With shiny new high tech gadgets like iPhone, iPod touch and iPad etc, so far Apple has us in an “iHeaven” with the promise of going even further! Most of us gadget geeks have both the iPhone as well as iPad each serving a different purpose in our everyday life. iPhone and iPad are two different things, having their own fortes and areas of excellence and neither can be replaced with the other one.

So what actually is the difference between the usages of both of these Apple products?

From what I’ve experienced and what I’ve gathered from different people, iPhone is handier, offering far more portability than an iPad. It’s for those times you need to urgently make calls or check your mail and just grab and go when you’re in haste as it can easily fit in your pocket due to its size. I just can’t picture anybody grabbing their iPad in a hurry and trying to shove it in their briefcase (let alone their pocket!) without doing it some serious damage!
On the other hand, when you have all the time in the world and are up to a nice, relaxed evening reading a novel or maybe making the most of iTunes’ apps, you’d most definitely go for your iPad. Most of the iPad owners I know even keep their iPads conveniently on their nightstands for easy accessibility. But this is just one side of the story; for some people, iPad would be the last thing they’d like to look at when relaxing and lazing around in their couches! With the iPhone still being the primary choice of majority of people for making calls, iPad offers a rich overall experience due to its size as far as applications are concerned (except for music related apps; iPod still rules in that region!)

In short, the usage of anything depends entirely on the person actually using it. No third person can decide or dictate to you how, when and where to use your iPad or iPhone. So two words for you all – be creative!
